About the Event

The Christchurch International Netball Festival was first held in 2015 with 10 teams - 9 South Island sides and 1 Australian side.In 2016, it was repeated with 12 teams, 10 local and South Island sides and 2 Australian teams. Finding enough inside courts became a significant challenge if the tournament was to expand. There was also some issues around meeting the demand for umpires and other staff to officiate over the 3 days. Total Sports Tours and Total Events are now in a much stronger position to manage these tournament components, and with the new CNC sports hub at Nga Puna Wai with 10 full sized indoor courts, the Festival is ready for a complete re-launch.

April, 2025 will see the new Christchurch International Netball Festival being held in one location with international quality full-sized courts. Here is a brief overview of the Festival:
