Phil Robson
Managing Director. Phil has a background in tourism, adventure promotions and many years as a registered Physical Education teacher. He is also an experienced rugby player and coach having represented national and provincial teams. Contact Phil for all questions regarding tours. Phil will help you ensure your tour delivers your objectives and what you hope to achieve through touring. He’s very well experienced in creating tour packages and with his teaching background, has a very good understanding of young people and what they like to do.

Louise Smith
Tour Coordinator. Louise has worked in the travel industry for many years and has a wealth of experience in this multifaceted field. She helps construct our tour packages, working one-on-one with clients to customise their itineraries and is an expert in attending to detail. Louise will be your point of contact for all things logistics, invoicing, and itinerary updates.

Marcus Vaughan.
Tour Consultant NSW Australia. Marcus has been involved in sport and, more particuarly rugby, all his life. He has worked as a sports club manager, administrator and coach. He has 20 years experience with youth sport and a great deal of experience travelling with tour groups. His enthusiasm for travel is infectious.
Nigel Georgieff
Total Sports Events Festival Manager. Nigel has been around rugby and sport most of his life, with lengthy stints at Sport Canterbury and as a life member of a local rugby club. He has many years of experience running touch competitions and a range of other events.
Greg Thompson
Greg Thompson: Tour Consultant Queensland, Australia. Greg has a huge amount of experience within the sports industry as a rugby player over 16 seasons at club and representative level. His passion has been strength and conditioning where he has worked over a number of different sports codes with numerous schools, NZ Sevens and High Performance Sport. He now lives on the Sunshine Coast and is committed to offering travel services, support and advice on behalf of Total Sports Tours.
Ryan Crotty
Ryan Crotty: Sports Travel and Community Manager. Ryan is one of New Zealand’s rugby legends. His rugby ‘rap’ sheet includes 48 tests for the All Blacks, 151 caps for the Crusaders, 75 caps for Canterbury and having also won honours for the NZ U19, U20 and Junior All Blacks. He also recently enjoyed a 3 year stint with Japanese team the Kubota Spears. Ryan is back in Christchurch in 2024 and is once again playing for his beloved Crusaders. Born and raised in Christchurch, Ryan is very happy to be ‘home’ where he is raising a family. His connections across rugby, sport and the local community run deep, and he is a key person in developing and fostering connections across the community.
Craig Mullan
Operations Manager. Craig has a background in education, coaching and has been a teacher and school principal. Having played rugby for many years, Craig began coaching and has coached all levels from under 6s to provincial representative teams. Craig has a World Rugby coach developer role in Canterbury and has worked with the Crusader International Academy, the Canterbury Womens wider training group. When not coaching Craig can be found on one of his bikes, in the hills or on the roads, somewhere around Canterbury.

Rob Smith
Cricket Manager. Rob has been involved with cricket for many years. He completed a Bachelor of Sport Coaching from the University of Canterbury and has now coached cricket for 15 years. He won the National Schools title in 2023 with the Christchurch Boys’ High 1st XI. He has been a resource coach for Canterbury Metro and is an experienced cricket tourist have coordinated and travelled on 5 cricket tours over the years. He is very experienced working with youth through his coaching, both with rugby and cricket, and as a house master for 10+ years at the Christchurch Boys’ High School boarding facility.

Mark Ealey
Japan Tour Specialist. Mark has an amazing background in sport, particularly rugby and a life-long association with the language, travel and culture of Japan. As a rugby player himself, back in the late 70’s and early 80’s he has been a student of the game ever since. His connection with Japan began during his playing days where he spent 10 seasons playing there. Mark returned to New Zealand in 1994, with a profound understanding of Japan. So much so, that worked at the Christchurch Polytechnic for ten years lecturing in Japanese language and Japanese Modern history. He has a deep understanding of rugby and sports in Japan and has made dozens of contacts in schools across Japan during his work developing International Rugby Academies in Christchurch schools.
