Total Tours Limited began as Total Rugby Limited in 2004. We have built a solid reputation as being able to deliver an exceptional touring experience through our understanding and knowledge of rugby.

We started to have  requests to add components of rowing, netball, soccer, hockey and cricket. We did not want to restrict our skills and services to just sport and have since developed our sports offering even offering geography tours from time to time.

Geography tours have proven popular and we are also looking to work in such diverse areas as school aerobics, competition marching, cultural experiences and music tours.

What makes us unique?

We work primarily as an inbound tour operator, meaning that clients can contact us directly and work with the people that they will meet on the ground. We have extended our operation to include outbound tours and welcome enquiries for groups looking to travel outside of New Zealand.

We’ve chosen to concentrate our efforts to  working with the local community building trust and connections to be able to offer the best visitor experience possible.

We live here and understand the Kiwi way of doing things. It makes sense to talk to us directly, thus saving money and avoiding complicated communication channels. We are committed to excellence and strive to provide a 100% pure New Zealand experience.

Our Commitment

We started out with the sole purpose of delivering exceptional tours to teams looking to soak up the rugby culture. That intention remains the same and is the driving force behind the company to this day.

We aim to deliver exceptional experiences to visiting sides that showcase New Zealand, it’s culture and unique beauty.

Our Mission here at Total Tours is that through sport, New Zealand’s natural treasures and rich experiences, visitors leave New Zealand with an open heart, an open mind and a desire to do good in the world

The Local Heroes

We Literally could not do what we do without the dedication and commitment of local sports organisations, volunteers, coaches, and athletes. These people are the heart and soul of what we’re able to offer. It is due to their sincere commitment to grow their sport globally, inspire young minds and up-skill the next generation of athletes that will shape the sports they love going forward.

These are the true gems that ensure that each and every touring side is shown the utmost hospitality and is welcomed with open arms.

We do our best to show appreciation and ensure these local experts are acknowledged.

Red and Black Nation

Red and Black are Canterbury colours. Canterbury is the largest province in New Zealand covering a large swath of the South Island. It is the second most populated region behind Auckland. Christchurch is the main city in the Canterbury Province and is the gateway to the South Island with a modern international airport. The colours of the red and black Canterbury sports teams are synonymous with high achievement, community spirit and hospitality. Our Red and Black Nation packages offer a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with our Canterbury administrators, officials and sports stars.
